Rorie & Madison met in Cosmetology school and worked together after graduation. They knew shortly after working along side each other that they wanted to create a culture that inspired them and others in the industry. They knew they wanted a place for guests & stylists to feel accepted and renewed, and that’s where the dream of Opal & Cove started. Opal and Cove stands for happiness, faithfulness, and confidence. They are a full service salon that specializes in balayage, trending color, precision cuts, and extensions with an emphasis on continuing education. Opal also illuminates the positive actions and emotions of the self, enhancing the good and true, and fostering one’s highest potential. It is a karmic stone with a reminder that what one sends out will return. It has strong connotations of happiness, faithfulness, loyalty and confidence.”

Rorie Smith
Rorie’s (Co-owner/ Stylist) – Her love for hair began when I was just a little girl. She always knew she wanted to be a hairstylist, but more so, she loves helping people find confidence and feel beautiful. She specializes in blondes, dimensional brunettes, and custom extension techniques. She is passionate about education behind the chair, as well as sharing that knowledge with clients. When she’s not behind the chair, you can find her livin’ mom life, at the beach, or anywhere they have iced coffee.

Madison Thames
Meet our sweet Madison (Co-owner/ Stylist). She has been training for years under numerous talented stylists including the educators of Masters of Balyage. She is constantly finding ways to improve her craft and always enhance her client experience. She specializes in hair coloring with a special influence on blondes and fantasy color, cutting styles, hair treatments, hair extensions, waxing, eyebrow tinting and more!

Alisa Perrotta
Extensions, adventure and blondes – oh my! That probably sums up our girl Alisa. She is fierce, fashionable, fabulous and she needs little introduction that she is our most experienced Stylist at Opal & Cove. She is KNOWN for her multi tonal blondes and her amazing finishing skills. She is in charge of all creative for our salon from design, interior, retail, product reviews etc etc. She is certified in Bellami extensions, customized wefts, k-tips and tape-Ins. Chances are if you’ve seen an amazing Blonde Hair color around town it’s from her chair. Advanced color, balayage and foil techniques as well beautiful blowouts are her common clientele. Proud mamma to her kiddos Mia & Joey, and literally one of the trendiest ladies we have ever met.
Amelia Carman
Want good hair AND to be entertained? Look no further than our goddess of the red locks Amelia. She is talented beyond the words we can convey in this bio. One of our Stylists and make-up artists, she is artistic, fashionable, funny and charming! She is motivated by love of aesthetic improvement & desire for clientele satisfaction – also kitty cats – meow 🙂 The girl can SING, she can play guitar and her make-up applications could be displayed as fine art in the Louvre!! Not to mention what she can do with your hair. Specializing in REDS, graduated forms of cutting and balayage. She can bring your hair and soul back to LIFE!
Shannon Smith
Looking for that lady that makes everyone feel like family?? That’s our lovely Shannon!
Her creative mind and dedication to creating a fun atmosphere brings great energy into the salon from the moment you walk in! Originally from Michigan, but luck brought her and her son AJ to Florida in 2017. She joined our team in July 2021 and we are thrilled! With over 20+ years’ experience in retail sales and operations she runs the show here! From scheduling to inventory, and everything in between she is passionate to help find solutions for any task! Let’s face it…. she’s just an all-around great person and the MOST genuine listener, she makes everyone feel like her #1 priority. Want to chat her up about something outside of the salon??
